  • Reasonable size area appropriate for age and ability
  • 4 v 4 + 1
  • Footballs, cones, bibs

Objectives

  • Develop attacking decision-making and communication. 
  • Improve accuracy and pace of pass.
  • Improve combination play and movement.

Details

  • A pitch with end zones
  • A team must receive inside the end zone or dribble into the end zone to score a goal
  • The team in possession should look to penetrate to the opposite side by using the neutral player

  • Decrease the size of the area

Progression

  • Touch limit
  • Time limit to score

Coaching Points

  • Good supporting angles
  • Finding splits/gaps between the defenders
  • Visual cues on when to penetrate
  • Accuracy and pace of pass
